North Island Hospitals Project

The goal of the North Island Hospitals Project is to provide modern, effective, and appropriate inpatient and outpatient services to the communities of the North Island at two new state-of-the-art hospitals. The CSRHD board will have contributed $240.7 million towards the overall $606 million project, expected to be completed fall 2017.

The new hospitals in Campbell River and the Comox Valley were carefully designed to meet the needs of North Island residents, ensuring the greatest benefits for the best value. We believe that great design leads to better outcomes for patients and families and improvements to staff satisfaction and retention.
